Styling the classic British trench coat with Jack Wills

This post is in collaboration with Jack Wills.

If you've been following my blog for a while, you'll know that I'm a big fan of the trench coat. It's such a versatile piece in your wardrobe and perfect for spring and summer. I've collaborated with one of my favourite British fashion brands, Jack Wills, to show you their brand new stylish and sophisticated trench coats. They have also published a fantastic guide on how to style a trench coat. This guide gives you inspiration for styling the classic trench coat, as well as more information on the iconic Jack Wills brand.

One of the most useful sections of the guide by Jack Wills is on trench tips and the different ways of wearing and styling the pieces. It also starts off by explaining the history of the trench, and I had no idea that this style was invented in the 1850s!

What I love most about the trench coat is how it can be styled both for casual and smart looks. It's a piece that you can invest in knowing that you'll get lots of wear out of it. If you choose a neutral colour for your trench, you'll definitely get wear out of it both in the summer and autumn. My personal favourite from the Jack Wills new range is the classic Duncombe trench coat. I think the fit of it is so flattering and chic.
