How to make your perfume tray more elegant

How to make your perfume tray elegant

If you like to collect and try different perfumes, then this blog post is for you. If like me, you have too many perfumes and not enough space to store them in an elegant manner, then read my tips below for getting creative with perfume trays. I have found a beautiful finishing touch for my perfume storage on my dressing table.

Collecting perfumes

From Dior, Ralph Lauren to Hugo Boss, my perfume collection is increasing every few months. I know many people are in the same situation (and it's a good situation to be in!) so it's important to have somewhere nice to store your perfumes. Many perfume bottles are stunning so you want them on display and they also help to brighten up your dressing table.

Getting creative with perfume trays

I've got a good selection of perfumes in my collection and with them building up I decided to get myself a beautiful tray to keep them on. I used to store them on my dressing table but I bought an Indian tray from a local shop to store them on. This is such a simple idea, but it has made so much difference.

Perfume trays - the details

I really liked the fine details in this tray and it definitely adds more elegance to my dressing table. My perfume collection is now the most attractive aspect of my dressing table!

How to get ready for a summer night out

For those amazing summer nights, here are some of my tips to help you get ready.

Pamper first

I like to start my routine with a mini pamper session that can include a relaxing face mask or a bubble bath. It's great for your skin and is great for a little 'me' time before a long night out.

Make up

During the summer it's great to use highlighters in your make up routine as this helps to give your skin a glow. I'm currently using the Benefit High Beam highlight. I also recommend using a powder to set your foundation, as this combats against a shiny t-zone later in the night!
For this look I used a nude lip gloss from No7.

Accessorise your outfit

In my Get Ready With Me YouTube video, I wore a blue dress from H&M and accessorised it with my favourite DKNY handbag. I also wore some blue and gold earrings which complimented the outfit perfectly. I like to invest in staple designer pieces that I can use to add glamour to any outfit (e.g. The DKNY handbag).

The L'OCCITANE Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Cream

When L'OCCITANE promoted their 7 day skincare trial, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try out a new moisturiser. I have always used Olay and it works for me, however it's always good to refresh your skincare routine.

The Pivoile Sublime Perfecting Cream

After completing the online questionnaire about my skin, I was matched with the Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Cream. This is ideal for creating perfect looking skin with a fresh and radiant complexion. I have oily/combination skin and I want to keep it looking radiant, so this cream is ideal for my skin type.

The results of the L'OCCITANE cream

I used the cream for 7 days and could genuinely see the difference. Sometimes I even just used the cream on it's own with no foundation on top, as my skin felt glowing and as if it didn't need any base make up. Having said that, the Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Cream is also great under make-up and I did feel that my make-up lasts longer when using this moisturiser.

If you are looking to refresh your moisturising routine, then why not give the L'OCCITANE Pivoine Sublime Perfecting Cream a try?

Why you should visit Malta - YouTube video

Azure Window - Visit Malta

If you are looking for a sunny destination in Europe, then look no further than Malta. I recently visited the gorgeous island of Malta at the end of May and thought it was the perfect place for some relaxation and taking in some sunshine.

Where to stay in Malta

It really depends what you like but I would recommend staying in St Paul's Bay if you visit Malta as it's a busy part of the island and you get a great buzz of people at night. If you prefer something more quiet, maybe check out Comino or Gozo. I stayed at the 4* hotel Seashells Resort at Suncrest in Qawra in St Paul's Bay.

The Blue Lagoon

Blue Lagoon - Visit Malta

If you want to see natural crystal clear water, visit the Blue Lagoon in Comino. It was breathtaking as I don't think I've ever seen water so blue before in all of the places I have travelled to!

Visit Gozo island

The Azure Window in Gozo is a must-see if you visit Malta. Take a day trip on the ferry where you can stand in front of this amazing view and admire the beauty of nature.

Valletta

Visit Malta

Your trip to Malta won't be complete without seeing the capital city of Valletta (or so we were told). It really was a lovely city to visit, with a distinct old town European feel to it. The buildings are particularly fascinating, with much of their old architecture still in good condition.

Watch my Malta VLOG on YouTube below to see my trip to Malta in full.

Petite Clothes Shopping Tips

As a petite lady, I wanted to share my experiences of clothes shopping and some of my top tips on how to shop for petite clothes. There are lots of brands out there that specialise in petite clothing, with many high street retailers also bringing out petite ranges. So there is lots of choice when it comes to buying clothes, but I think there are certain tricks and tips to help you look your best.

For those of you that don't know, I am a petite size 8, I am 5 feet tall and my shoe size is 3. I haven't struggled to find clothes that fit me perfectly, but I do think it's important to wear clothes that suit my figure. For example, I don't think that midi dresses and skirts would suit me as they are too long. Instead I would opt for a knee length skirt or dress to compliment my figure and height.

Watch my latest video on my YouTube channel to see my tips for shopping for petite clothes. Enjoy :)
